Environteers at Blue Innovation Day 2024

Environteers is at the forefront of connecting concerned citizens with a flourishing network of environmental organizations in Santa Cruz County. Whether through education, events, or volunteer opportunities, the team at Environteers seeks to promote ecological activism within their community and platform the environmental organizations spearheading the pursuit for a greener world.

Environteers connects a myriad of organizations that promote everything from native land stewardship practices to disability inclusion in farming and gardening education. Local environmental groups benefiting from their support include the Amah Mutsun Land Trust, Common Roots Farm, Homeless Garden Project, Regeneracion Pájaro Valley, UCSC Arboretum, and many others.

At Blue Innovation Day 2024, on October 6th, Environteers will showcase their latest research on advancing energy efficiency. Committed to staying informed on global environmental trends, they recently published an article highlighting the promising news that Earth's ozone layer is on the path to full recovery. Environteers have also reported on resource conservation efforts locally, including prescribing burns in Santa Cruz County and introducing electric school buses in East Oakland.

Environteers advocate for critical environmental initiatives, including regulating PFAS chemicals that contaminate local food, air, and water and reducing pesticide use in seed germination.
