Santa Cruz Works Adds Tonée Picard to Board
SANTA CRUZ, CA - October 17, 2019 - Today Santa Cruz Works announces a new board member: Tonée Picard. Picard is the EVP/Chief Development Officer at Bay Federal Credit Union. She has been involved in the Santa Cruz community for over 30-years, including a long stint in the technology industry. Picard has direct responsibility for the credit union’s strategic planning, information technology, marketing, human resources, and facilities business units.
“Santa Cruz Works’ focus on keeping tech jobs in our local area and being an integral part of our shared community is exciting,” stated Picard. “I’m honored to contribute to this vision as a member of the Board of Directors.”
“The Santa Cruz Board welcomes Ms. Picard,” explains Doug Erickson, Executive Director of Santa Cruz Works. “Each of our board members represent a pillar in the tech ecosystem such as education, local government, venture capital, businesses, and community organizations. Bay Federal has a stalwart reputation as a financial institution, and a community builder. Together we can create, support, and sustain local talent and businesses.”
Picard has an MBA from Golden Gate University. Her passions include building strong teams, being a part of the community, and making a real difference in some way every day.
Santa Cruz Works is a non-profit organization building community among local employers, governments, educational institutions and talent. We advocate for the technology industry, envisioning a Santa Cruz with fewer cars on the hill, more jobs near home, and more revenue generated locally.
