SCA5 Startup, Edily Learning Pitches at VidCon
Santa Cruz Accelerates Program members Jackson Foster and Jonathan Ho, Co-founders of Edily Learning recently announced via Linkedin that they pitched at VidCon’s innovation showcase which took place in Anaheim this year from June 21-June 24, 2023.
VidCon is an annual convention created by Veteran YouTube creators John and Hank Green (Vlogbrothers) in 2010 to bring together a community of people who are passionate about all things video and content creation. This event pulls in on average 50,000 in-person attendees plus hundreds of thousands more viewers via live stream. VidCon connects the most popular online video creators with their fans, industry professionals, and executives. The event includes a variety of experiences such as panels, meet-and-greets, concerts, and exhibitions all centered around the theme of online video content.
Edily is developing a mobile app for educators and high-school/college students to share education-focused videos that are engaging and fun. Similar to TikTok and Youtube, every video on the platform is created by its users and supports the startup’s mission “To empower creators, educators, and learners to take ownership over the education experience”.
During their time at VidCon, Edily also hosted fun activities like “what’s you entrepreneurship personality puzzle” and “VidCon Bingo” where attendees could win prizes. The co-founders also had the opportunity to connect with Youtuber and Educational influencer, ChemicalKim, who is one of Edily’s advisors.
