Many of you have not heard of local company Smith and Vandiver Labs (“S&V Labs”), but you have almost certainly used their products. S&V Labs supplies 90% of the lotions sold at Bed Bath and Beyond, CVS, Walmart, and more. When C19 hit our planet, S&V Labs pivoted by adding hand sanitizer to their lotions.

This week, S&V Labs donated 600 units of hand sanitizer to Community Bridges, Walnut Ave Family and Women’s Center, and Encompass Community Services. '

Organizers from Idea Fab Labs, PPE4CC, and Santa Cruz Works facilitated the donation. Special shout out to Dr. Catherine Sonquist Forest, Peter Newton, and Jordan Layman.
