The Drako Dragon “The New Pinnacle of Electric Vehicle Performance”
Santa Cruz County must have something unique in our water that inspires entrepreneurs to build the next generation of transportation. We have Joby Aviation, OneWheel, Zero Motorcycles, Parallel Flight Technologies, and Drako Motors.
In 2019, Drako announced a quad-motor, four-seat EV with 1,200bhp and “cornering precision unlike any other supercar on the road today”. Some 25 uniquely customized versions of the GTE were ordered with each one costing $1.25M a pop.
All of that hasn’t stopped Drako from working on an updated version of the GTE. It’ll be called the Drako Dragon (great name) and will be fully unveiled in January 2022. Alarmingly, Drako reckons it’ll get a “substantial increase in torque” over the GTE – a car which already claims 6,500lb ft. Sure, why not.
