UCSC Welcomes New Vice Chancellor of Information Technology
On August 9th, 2022, University of California Chancellor Cynthia Larive announced Aisha Jackson as UC Santa Cruz's newest Video Chancellor of Information Technology.
Aisha previously served as the University of Colorado Boulder’s first-ever Assistant Vice Provost and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Technology and Student Success. She brings with her over 12 years of experience from her time at CU Boulder, working in various director and manager positions in CU Boulder’s Office of Information Technology before transitioning to the Assistant Vice Provost and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Technology and Student Success role.
She began her career in information technology at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. She earned a doctorate in education from the University of Colorado, Denver; a master’s in education from the University of Florida, Gainesville; and a bachelor of arts in elementary education from Flagler College in Florida.
