Santa Cruz Works is proud to sponsor the SCCSF Independent Qualifier (IQ) is a Science Fair for Santa Cruz County students without access to a local school science fair.
Participants compete for prizes, awards and to progress to the Santa Cruz County Science Fair (and potentially other regional fairs).
To qualify to participate, the student (or students in a group project) must:
not have another option to participate in a school fair (e.g. your school doesn't participate, your grade doesn't participate at your school, or you are home-schooled/independently schooled).
be in 3rd grade thru 12th grade, or if you do not have an assigned grade, be between the ages of 8 and 18.
have lived in Santa Cruz County for at least the 30 days prior to the IQ fair.
be able to attend the fair during the project judging hours.
have your project complete by the IQ fair date.
follow the rules of the Santa Cruz County Science Fair, as defined by the Santa Cruz County Office of Education.
