Joby Flying with NASA Acoustic Experts

Joby recently completed a two-week flight test campaign NASA as part of the agency's Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) National Campaign. With an array of more than 50 microphones set up to enable multi-directional measurement, we flew our full-scale, all-electric prototype in various configurations to fully capture the intensity and character of the sound it emits. Over the next few months, Joby and NASA will work together to analyze the data gathered from the flight test campaign in order to ensure our proposed aircraft operations will blend into the noise profile of urban communities.
