Omni Raises $69 Million Series B

Do you recall the startup Omni that we interviewed back in January 2024? Omni is a startup filled with ex-Looker talent that is focused on building a business intelligence & embedded analytics platform that empowers everyone to easily analyze data. The startup announced on their blog on Thursday morning that it has raised $69 million in Series B funding, led by ICONIQ Growth with participation from existing investors Theory Ventures, First Round Capital, Redpoint Ventures, GV, and Snowflake Ventures. This milestone, achieved on the company’s third anniversary, brings Omni’s valuation to $650 million and reflects an impressive 8x year-over-year growth in revenue and customer usage.

In a business intelligence (BI) landscape often criticized for its fragmentation and complexity, Omni is pioneering a unified approach to data exploration. The company’s platform empowers users to explore data through a variety of methods, including SQL, spreadsheets, AI, and point-and-click interfaces, all within a single environment. Omni’s layered approach addresses the challenges of modern data analysis by offering a seamless progression from basic dashboards to advanced insights and customization, without compromising on visual quality, performance, or control. The platform’s AI capabilities are grounded in a robust semantic layer, ensuring reliable and trustworthy insights regardless of the user interface.

“Our journey began with a simple insight: data is everywhere, yet no tool truly serves everyone. It’s not an easy problem to solve. And the onslaught of AI and niche data tools has made BI more complicated, not better.” stated Omni blogger Colin Zima.

The startup is hosting a live event on Omni on LinkedIn on Thursday, March 27. See registration details here and they are currently hiring.
