!!Con (pronounced “bang bang con”) 2024 is two days of talks on August 24 and 25 to celebrate the joyous, exciting, and surprising moments in computing. Established in 2014, we're an independent, nonprofit tech conference consisting almost entirely of ten-minute lightning talks. After years of online-only events, we're excited to bring !!Con back to Santa Cruz in person, in the courtyard of the Baskin School of Engineering at UC Santa Cruz. This year, our attendees will hear about analog computing, braille, cosmic rays, textile dataviz, the Voyager 1 spacecraft, and much more.
