Blue Innovation: Bay of Life - From Wind to Whales

For more than three decades, Frans Lanting and Christine Eckstrom have documented the crown jewels of Earth’s natural heritage for National Geographic.

In their new book Bay of Life: From Wind to Whales, we see and feel the powerful influences shaped by the Pacific Ocean from condors feeding on beached whales to tiny seabirds nesting in the towering redwoods of the Monterey Bay.

Bay of Life will be launched in October 2022 in harmony with the 30th anniversary of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Blue Innovation attendees will get a glimpse of this much heralded book.
