David Doolin Joins Santa Cruz Works Board
Santa Cruz Works is proud to announce the newest addition to its Board of Directors, David Doolin, who has also been elected to serve as the Board's Treasurer. David has lived and worked in Santa Cruz for the past 12 years, during which time he has significantly expanded his accounting practice. In that time, he has doubled the number of staff working out of his Santa Cruz office, serving a diverse range of clients, from early-stage venture-funded startups to some of the region's largest businesses.
David’s commitment to the local community extends far beyond his professional contributions. He has a longstanding record of giving back, having served on the Boards of several esteemed local organizations, including the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, Kuumbwa Jazz Society, and Hospice of Santa Cruz County. His leadership and passion for supporting the area’s cultural and nonprofit sectors are well recognized, and his transition to the Board of Santa Cruz Works, now as Treasurer, marks an exciting new chapter in his journey of community service.
“I am very excited to continue to serve the Santa Cruz business and tech community by joining the Board of Santa Cruz Works,” David shared. “Santa Cruz is a very special place to live and work, and a thriving business community makes that sustainable.” David Doolin, CPA, Senior Partner PP&Co
David’s election as Treasurer adds a crucial layer of financial expertise to the Board as Santa Cruz Works continues its mission of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration within the local business ecosystem. With his extensive experience working with both emerging and established companies, his perspective will be invaluable in ensuring the organization’s financial health and strategic growth.
Santa Cruz Works looks forward to the energy and insight David will bring to the Board, furthering the organization’s vision of cultivating a robust and dynamic business environment in Santa Cruz. We are thrilled to welcome him in this important role and anticipate the positive impact his involvement will have on both the organization and the community at large.
