UCSC Offering Hacking 4 Oceans Course
Are you a student or know of a student who is passionate about our oceans, wants to make a positive impact, or has a brilliant idea for improving the planet?
UC Santa Cruz is offering a course called “Hacking 4 Oceans: Solving Ocean Issues with Lean Launchpad” that is open to graduate and/or undergraduate students from any UC school, department, or program as well as Monterey Institute of International Studies students.
The goal of the course is to teach individuals and teams how to solve real problems by utilizing the Lean Launchpad Methodology and other Lean Design techniques. This course is aimed at anyone who is passionate about the ocean, climate, sustainability, wants to be an entrepreneur and learn how to run a for profit or non-profit company, and make a positive impact. Students will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience of working directly with sponsors as well as understanding what it is like to be in a startup. Hacking 4 Oceans will be taught by Anne R. Kapuscinski, Radhika Malpani, Andrea Carafa, and Sarah Eminhizer. Learn more about the course here.
