Joby Aviation Successfully Completes HIRF Testing at Edwards AFB: Promising Results Pave the Way for FAA Certification

Joby Aviation recently completed aircraft characterization testing for High-Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) at Edwards AFB, partnering with experienced USAF and Naval Surface Warfare Center personnel.

This campaign evaluated the aircraft's ability to protect its electric and electronic equipment from external sources of radio-frequency interference -- an important part of demonstrating the ability of any aircraft to safely operate near radio stations, radars, and other communication installations.

Joby is pleased to share that the results are very encouraging and will help us prepare to conduct similar testing for FAA credit as part of our certification program.
