Purcell Annouces Q2 Updates

Purcell is a supply chain and retail operations automation platform who was a part of Santa Cruz Works Accelerates program. Purcell’s second quarter has been primarily focused on product development. Russell and David have been spending the majority of their time in San Francisco designing and redesigning every part of the dispenser as we prepare for the fall launch. In May, I took another trip to Germany for a trade show, as well as product and partnership development. 

Timeline

The S1 Dispenser is on track to pilot in the beginning of Q4. In 2023, after piloting, we will begin manufacturing in partnership with Bizerba to fill outstanding and new orders. 

Product Development

In Q2 we completed the core design of the updated dispenser. During this phase we designed, built and tested every component of the dispenser. 

Bizerba

David flew with a dispenser to Europe to test with Bizerba, a global leader in scale technology. After a week of testing and a few tweaks to the system, their engineers gave us the thumbs up.

EuroCIS

Europe is moving away from single-use plastics faster than the US. Because of this, we have had an overwhelming interest from European retailers. Bizerba asked us to attend EuroCIS, a large retail trade show with them. While there we met with many of Europe’s largest retailers.

Pacha 

In June, I traveled to Nebraska to meet with Pacha Soap Company and a large retail partner. Pacha is a cleaning product category leader at many national retailers.  A group of retail store executives flew out for Pacha’s innovation day to see the product and they were hooked. We are very excited to work with these iconic companies!
