Wharf Wednesday 2025 with Event Santa Cruz

January’s in Santa Cruz are unpredictable. Between the bitterly cold winter mornings, the cloudless blue afternoons, and the cool nights, you may be itching for a day in the sun to offset the persistent chill. If taking a pleasant stroll along the Whaf may be exactly what you need, then Event Santa Cruz has you covered! From January 22 to February 26, Wharf Wednesdays will feature live music and raffles, bringing a taste of summer back to Santa Cruz.

If you are a Santa Cruz local, you undoubtedly saw the video of the damaged wharf circulating social media in late December. After undergoing successful sonar and engineering assessments, the wharf reopened in early January, ushering in a wave of community support to help local businesses bounce back. To further aid recovery efforts, the Santa Cruz City Council allocated $155,000 from the Economic Development Trust Fund to support wharf businesses. Attending Wharf Wednesdays presents the perfect opportunity to celebrate the wharf’s resilience while enjoying live music, raffles, and the vibrant community spirit of Santa Cruz.

When part of the Santa Cruz Wharf was damaged in the storm on December 23, leaving 20 businesses and 400 employees affected during the 9-day closure the community immediately stepped up. While the City of Santa Cruz took care of the businesses and employees in other ways, this concert series was just another initiative to provide additional support...Santa Cruz always rallies when there’s a need to support our community, and this effort was a testament to that spirit.
