Santa Cruz Accelerates startup, Wonderfil, creator of a package-at-purchase platform for liquid and cream products, has been selected as a finalist for the Westly Prize.

The Westly Prize awards cash prizes totaling up to $145,000 to early-stage, young social innovators in California with novel solutions to community challenges. $40,000 in unrestricted funding will be given to the top three finalists.

Candidates for the Westly Prize must have a solution that is prototyped, sustainable and scalable, makes a positive social impact, and demonstrate leadership and creativity.

Traditional products come in heaps of plastic packaging or take a lot of effort to refill. Wonderfil’s self-serve kiosks allow you to easily refill your personal care liquid or cream products at a discounted price all while significantly reducing plastic waste.

Wonderfil’s stations are quick and easy to use, low maintenance, and generate revenue while also reducing labor and consumer costs. Wonderfil’s product is a sustainable solution to help consumers buy the products they need and love while simultaneously fighting plastic pollution.
