The Problem

The absence of effective support systems during times of hardship often leaves individuals and families feeling abandoned and overwhelmed. Existing methods of showing support, such as friends and family attempting to assist without knowing how or what to do, can further contribute to this sense of isolation. The need for a centralized platform where community members can come together and provide meaningful support during difficult times is evident.

The Solution

The "Here For You" platform aims to address this problem by offering a space where individuals and families can receive the support they truly need and desire. There is currently not a centralized place for communication, expression of needs, and sharing of resources, making it challenging for community members to effectively assist those facing hardship.

Through "Here For You," individuals can create an account for themselves or others and select from a list of commonly needed offerings during difficult times. These offerings may include tangible items, services, or volunteer opportunities. Friends and family members can then sign up to purchase, contribute, or volunteer for these specific offerings, ensuring that the support provided aligns with the recipient's needs.

Additionally, "Here For You" provides the option for individuals to work with a support coordinator, who can assist them in setting up their account on the platform and accessing further support resources. This personalized guidance helps streamline the process, ensuring that community members can offer effective assistance in a coordinated and efficient manner.

The motivation behind the development of "Here For You" stems from the founder's personal experience of profound loss and the subsequent realization that not everyone receives the same level of support during times of hardship. By conducting extensive research and customer discovery, the founder identified the need for a comprehensive platform that facilitates genuine support, reducing the feelings of abandonment and disappointment often associated with such situations.
