Climatize Wins 2024 Keeling Curve Prize
The Global Warming Mitigation Project recently unveiled the 2024 winners for the prestigious Keeling Curve Prize at the ninth annual Sun Valley Forum on July 15th in Ketchum, Idaho. Named after the Keeling Curve, a graph that shows how carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the Earth's atmosphere have increased since 1958, this award stands to highlight outstanding global warming mitigation projects. The organizations selected for the prize represent the forefront of global efforts to combat climate change and are considered the top climate innovators in their respective categories.
The Keeling Curve Prize recognizing projects and programs worldwide across five categories that effectively reduce, remove, or replace greenhouse gas emissions, received an unprecedented 680 applications this year. The categories are Carbon Sinks, Energy, Finance, and lastly Social and Cultural Pathways. Amidst fierce competition for this prize is Santa Cruz Works 2022 Accelerator program graduate, Climatize who won in the finance category for their solar energy and climate project investment platform. Nine other winners were selected and will be awarded $50,000 each to scale and succeed.
