Santa Cruz Works (“SCW”) connects the Santa Cruz tech community with jobs, new skills, funding, and tech solutions. The ideal candidate is someone who loves tech and entrepreneurship and our community. This part-time job is for you if you have good communication skills, a proactive attitude, a problem-solving mindset, a strong desire to learn, and an interest in supporting the Santa Cruz tech community. We are looking for general support with social media management, event management, writing original material for our newsletter, and creating promotional content and campaigns. The role also includes learning to manage digital platforms (Hubspot, Eventbrite, Mailchimp) and grants, and offers a great opportunity to network in the Santa Cruz community to launch your career.
Required Qualification:
Strong communication skills and writing experience
Social media management experience
Content creation/graphic design skills (Adobe, Canva, or like)
Ability to work independently and in a team
Ability to learn quickly and apply new technologies
Action and results-oriented
Bachelors degree in progress or completed
Based in or near Santa Cruz
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with CRM (Hubspot), Eventbrite, Mailchimp
Event management experience
