Verdagy to Lead Workshop on Green Hydrogen at Blue Innovation Day 2024
On October 6, 2024, Moss Landing’s own green hydrogen company, Verdagy, will host a workshop at Blue Innovation Day titled *“Why Green Hydrogen?”*. Led by Verdagy scientist Emily Cole, the workshop will provide a compelling overview of why green hydrogen is critical to achieving a cleaner energy future, particularly for heavy industries like chemical production and oil & gas refining.
Industries such as chemical manufacturing (fertilizers, for example) and oil refining are responsible for massive CO2 emissions due to their reliance on energy-intensive processes. Annually, these industries contribute millions of tons of CO2 to the atmosphere, fueling climate change. Verdagy, however, has developed a patented, scalable approach to producing hydrogen that eliminates CO2 emissions entirely. Their novel electrolyzers are designed to decarbonize industrial processes by producing green hydrogen – a zero-emission alternative to traditional fossil fuels.
During the workshop, Cole will explain how green hydrogen works and why it is a vital component in the clean energy economy. She will dive into how green hydrogen can replace conventional hydrogen, traditionally produced from natural gas, and offer insight into Verdagy's role in transforming industrial energy use.
Verdagy is leading the charge with its cutting-edge hydrogen electrolyzers, which are highly efficient, scalable, and customizable to meet the demands of various industries. From energy storage to transportation and industrial applications, their green hydrogen solutions provide a viable path to reducing carbon footprints across multiple sectors.
As Cole will highlight, the value of Verdagy’s approach lies in its efficiency, reliability, and environmental impact. The electrolyzers are not only built to last in challenging operating conditions but also reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with heavy industry, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
This workshop offers a unique opportunity for attendees to learn how green hydrogen can be a game-changer in the fight against climate change.
