Who is the new Executive Director of the Santa Cruz County Business Council?

Emily Ham started her new role as Executive Director of the Santa Cruz County Business Council just a few days ago on June 7th following the departure of Robert Singleton who was the Executive Director since 2017. Out of five finalist, the hiring committee unanimously picked Emily Ham for the position.

We had the chance just two days into her new job to spend a few Zoom minutes with Ham to discuss what drew her to this position, her background in housing policy, and what direction she wants to see Santa Cruz County Business Council move towards.

We also discussed as we start to open up after the pandemic what is the biggest challenge businesses in our community are dealing with now and what do SC County businesses have going for them to address those challenges.
